I wrote this a long time ago, before I had a blog or even knew I was going to have one. I remember the morning when I wrote this, God spoke to me about loving myself the way He loves me. It is hard to do with everything we see in the media and what others tell us… But here is the GOOD NEWS that God shared with me almost two years ago (in this post I speak specifically to woman, but this is very applicable to men as well): Continue reading
This quote is applicable to most people’s lives at some point. We often let it happen without even knowing it.
The GOOD NEWS is however that we are FREE!
In John 8:34-36 (NKJV) Jesus is talking to His disciples:
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
We often only seek God and pray when things aren’t going too well or when we need or want something… like an ungrateful child, who only knocks on their parents’ door, call or try to find them when the going gets tough. Then when we get what we want, we disappear again, until we need something again…
“The only certainty is that nothing is certain…”
I read this quote the other day and I was stunned, and not in a good way. What a lie! From a worldly perspective – sure – NOTHING is certain. Another quote that comes to mind – “there is no such thing as a sure thing…” Well, I beg to differ…
I recently heard this boxing quote:
“The fight is won long before you step into the ring.”
Like father, like son…
This is a well-known saying and we use it often. Here is what the saying means: a son’s character or behaviour can be expected to resemble that of his father.
This past weekend we spent time with family and friends. My husband and his family are bikers and so are most of our friends, so a large part of the weekend was dedicated to riding motorcycles. I don’t come from a biking background, but I have learnt a lot about riding and motorbikes in the past year, so please bear with me.
I recently received this picture and it got me thinking…
This can be a life changing decision to make, to choose peace (God’s peace), instead of negativity.
Often I hear people at my work say, “God is too busy to worry about your problems, He has way bigger problems to worry about than you and your little problems.” Have you heard someone say that before?
Let me assure you God is NEVER too busy for you!! Continue reading
